About the North Star Classic Baseball League

Founded in 2005, the North Star Classic Baseball League has been providing adult players of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to play competitive baseball in a well organized and enjoyable environment for over 19 years.

The North Star Classic Baseball League is affiliated with National MSBL Inc. which includes 325 leagues nationwide. The national organization features players 18 to 60+ years of age, from the recreational player to the ex-college & pro player. Started in 1986 with 60 players, the National Men’s Senior Baseball League today has in excess of 45,000 players and 3,200 teams scattered across the United States and even around the world.

Currently, the local North Star Classic Baseball League (NSCBL) has 18 teams with over 500 players that reside in the Minnapolis/St Paul metro area. The league plays on the best fields in the area. The NSCBL contracts with the most professional umpiring crews available to assure enjoyable, high quality, and competitive games.

Aside from a few rule changes, NSCBL conforms to standard baseball rules and features Major League style uniforms, carefully kept stats, and 7-inning games played weekly.

Our League mission is to provide players 18 to 60+, who love the game, an opportunity to play baseball in a fun, competitive, and well organized environment. Our hope is that the experience will extend beyond the white lines to help open doors to new friendships, associations, and opportunities while providing a lifetime of baseball enjoyment.

It is the policy of the officers and players of the NSCBL to maintain the highest standard of ethics and personal behavior while conducting our league activities and while participating in competitive games.
